A Dinner with Tinaka Yaban & family

14 January (Monday): We managed to meet up with Tinaka and his family at Garden Seafood Restaurant for dinner. Andrew and his wife, Jun, were there first. We straight away ordered some food while waiting for the rest to arrive. Tinaka came with his wife, Huda and his adorable son, Iqram Hiroe. Soon after, Hafez, Kim and kids (Zizi & Riri), Choi, Osmand & Lolly, Johaniff, Roy Nadzrie and Stanley Peter arrived. We brought Sean and Selina. We left little Shayna at home as she was unwell. Sean & Selina were so excited to see fishes in their tanks. What made them shivered was the eel tank. Our kids are not very fond of any snake-like animals or anything similar. Everyone was busy catching up on each other’s life. Tinaka is working with Texas Instrument as an IT Specialist, Hafez works in JKR as one of the engineers, Kim is a System Analyst in government sector, Choi is a teacher in Papar, Osmand is a part time photographer, Johaniff works in SUDC, Stanley is now permanently stationed in KK (previously he was in Lahad Datu, Keningau and Kuala Penyu), Roy Nadzrie is a contractor, Andrew runs his own business in Lahad Datu, and June (Andrew’s wife is a certified Surveyor). I am glad due to the fact that most of us are still in touch despite we left high school more than a decade. To be precise, it has been 15 years now. Okay, please don’t do any mental calculation on how old we are now. If I am not mistaken, we left the restaurant before midnight as kids were getting cranky and demand more attention (Selina even said “Go home.”) I should say it was a great outing and I wish we do it more often. I'm sometimes amazed when i think of the fact that i've known you guys for like 10+ years now! Dan sekarang semua sudah beranak pinak. Macam roy nazdrie tu classmate dari sekolah rendah lagi...oh gosh 20+ years sudah kanal! -
