When a child is sick...

Yesterday, Sean was not as active as before. So I checked on his temperature. His body was quite warm. But he still asked for his nenen so I was not that worried. After about 10pm, I tucked them all in bed. So, I went out to chit chat with a relative of ours. Every 10 minutes, I go into the room and have a check on Sean's temperature. At about 11pm, then, I excused myself and went into the room. So I checked on Sean again. It was on high side and he was shivering though the comforter covered all his body. I panicked. So, I took a wet towel and put on his forehead. Sean woke up and asked for his milk. I mixed paracetamol for kids into his milk. Luckily he finished it. But soon after that he vomitted everything. I told my husband I want to insert the medicine into his anus to bring down the temperature. Sean was scared but I managed to calm him down. He was okay. So, I didn't sleep for an hour to monitor his progress. Thank God, his temperature went down. This morning when he woke up, I asked him whether he feels sick or otherwise. He said "No pain mummy." I feel relieved.
