Feeding a toddler...
Sunday, 14 October 2007
Selina never fail to amuse me. Her character is very much different from Sean. When it comes to meeting our friends or relatives, she is very shy. Today, she said something out of the ordinary. I was feeding her and when it comes to feeding, I can be very impatient. Therefore, to make Selina move her butt, I will threaten her by telling that if she doesn't want to eat, mummy will give the momom (means food in case you were wondering) to miau (cat). Normally, she will dash quickly to have a spoonful. So, today our conversation went something like this:
Mummy: Ina, nah take your rice.
Selina just looked at me and continued playing with her teddy.
Mummy: Ina, hurry up and momom your rice. (moderate voice level)
Again Selina just dazed at me and continued playing.
Mummy: Ina, mummy said come and eat your rice. (higher voice level)
Selina buat dek.
Mummy: Selina if you don't want to take your rice, mummy give to miau okay.
Selina: No!!! (but still playing with her teddy)
Mummy: MIAU! OH MIAU! COME TAKE INA'S MOMOM!
Selina: Miau o oi. (dengan slumberland nya dia menjawab)
Mummy again speechless.
