Updates

I apologize for the late update. Here is about our Family Vacation.

Family Vacation (20 - 28 March 2008):

20 March: We headed to KL on Air Asia's flight. Sean was really excited. We arrived at LCCT nearly midnight. Dhillon and Amos fetched us from the airport then spent the night at Dhillon's house. Slept quite late...3-ish am.

21 March: Woke up at 5.30am and prepared the kids. We headed to LRT station and made our way to Corus Hotel. It felt like we were in Amazing Race. We got on the bus and started our journey to Singapore at 9.30am which took about 5 hours. I highly recommend Aeroline Bus because the seats are spacious and comfortable. We arrived at HarbourFront Centre, Singapore at 2-ish pm. Then, we hired a transportation to bring us to our accommodation. We arrived at our apartment and waited for the Manager to give us the key. Since we are so tired from the 5 hours journey, we went for a quick dinner at Centre Point Plaza which is just nearby and then headed back to the apartment. Kids dozed off early. I did a lil' bit of laundry (the apartment has a washing machine). I later joined my kids. Hubby was already in lala land. Dhillon, Apip, Bobbie and Fui Fui were still out exploring Orchard Road. My energy has totally drained out.

22 March: A fresh start. Kids were up early. Sean sang "Good Morning" to everybody. I gave them their "nenen" and sent them to the bathroom for their bathe. We started our journey by taking a cab to Merlion Park. Wanted to go there last Nov but didn't get the chance. Took many pictures with the statue of Merlion (the small and big one). Saw hundreds of tourists. Then after that, took a cab (mind you, if you travel with kids, just take the cab to save all the trouble) to Bugis Street where we had our lunch and then hubby and I together with Sean & Shayna began to discover what Bugis Street has to offer. Well, frankly speaking nothing much. Selina joined her Opa and Oma. We bought t-shirts for the kids. Then, we made our way to Bugis Junction. Maciam mau patah juga lah kaki berjalan. But since hubby was very much determine to walk might as well just follow him. After Bugis Junction, we took a cab to Hard Rock Cafe. Hubby wanted to buy some more T-shirts for himself. I bought one for myself and one for Sean. After that, we proceed to Orchard Road. We entered Atrium and Takashimaya. Thank God at Takashimaya, there was a Baby Fair going on and hubby and I decided to purchase one stroller for Sean at S$93. Original price was S$138. What a relief! We brought two strollers for the elder kids but walking plus having to carry Shayna was quite a challenge. So, the purchase was worth it. After that, we took a stroll along the rest of Orchard Road. An insightful walk indeed. After we had our dinner at a much cheaper place, we headed back to our apartment. Hubby and I started to pack whatever we could pack into our bags as tomorrow we will be going back to KL. Dhillon, Apip and Amos came back soon after. They went to so many places. They reached Little India, Chinatown, Bugis Street and Orchard Road. Bobbie and Fui Fui came back from their outing as well. Everybody was exhausted. Pictures can be seen here.

23 March: Woke up early and prepared the kids. Hubby cooked breakfast for the kids. Went to Centre Point for breakfast. And back to the apartment where we took our things and journeyed to HarbourFront Centre. Did some window shopping at Vivo City. Then, farewell Singapore. We shall meet again. Punyalah! Hubby, kids and I conquered the lower deck lounge. The steward was very friendly. We get to select movies. The lounge has comfy sofas and all our kids dozed off along the way. Thank God! I need my ME time. I managed to take a nap. When we arrived in KL, it was raining heavily. Hopefully, it will not rain when we reach Corus Hotel. Thank goodness it didn't. We made our way back to Dhillon's house in Seri Kembangan and we clashed with people from work. We just squeezed ourselves into the crowd. Luckily our kids were well behaved throughout the voyage. Thank God for those good hearted people who offered us their seats since we have 3 small kids holding on to us. May God bless them. We reached Dhillon's pad at last. Hubby gave the kids their bathe while I prepared their pyjamas and milk before they hit the sack. Hubby and I were exhausted from all the traveling.

24 March: Woke up early. MIL cooked breakfast. Kids took their breakfast. Sean as always requested for his fried egg. We went to IKEA. OMG! I couldn't figure out what to buy. Punyalah! I only managed to buy some pictures frames! After that, we dropped by Jamal's place at USJ. Then, headed over to Summit USJ.

25 March:
Dhillon brought us to Brothers at Kelana Jaya. Hubby made a big purchase. Lets just say he put a dent on his credit card. Bah guys and cars accessories...go figure! After that, we went to Mid Valley Megamall.

26 March: Sent Bobbie to LCCT and we made our way to the historical city of Malacca. More pictures here.

27 March: Sunway Pyramid. I just love this mall! We made some purchases. Last day of retail therapy before we fly home the next day. Met Tinaka and went to Uptown. Nothing much in Uptown. It was 3am when we reached Dhillon's place. Forgot my handphone in Tinaka's car.

28 March: Good hearted Tinaka sent my handphone together with his son, Hiroe. He could charm people with his contagious smile. At first he was quite shy but soon after he warmed up. I did the final packing and rested for a while. Then, we journeyed to LCCT, checked in, said goodbyes to Tina & Dhillon, get on the flight (which was 45 minutes delay) and back to KK. Ahhh home sweet home.
