Sean's 4th Birthday

Sean was born on the 23 November 2004.
I remember that day vividly.
Hubby and I went for another check-up.
I was 6 days overdue.
I had a bloody show but still no sign of contraction yet.
Dr. Krishen ran a check on me and recommended me to go for induction.
So, he inserted the tablet (as big as 50 cents coin) to my uterus to trigger contraction.
It worked alright.
Off we went to town and had lunch at Little Italy (sempat lagi!).
I had my usual Verdure E Pollo and a pitcher of their Lemonade.
Registered in around 2pm.
Went into my room.
Anxious, excited, nervous...all rolled in one.
Strapped to a CTG machineDr. K came at 4.30pm and broke my waterbag.
He performed VE on me.
1.0 cm dilated.
Another VE check at 6pm.
2.5cm dilated.
Another VE check at 8.30pm.
4cm dilated.
Then, the nurse gave me pitoxin to increase contraction.
Oh boy! I was in great pain.
I even jumped out of my bed.
My mum tried to save the drip, bed and me...at all once.
Mum was there to calm me down.
I told her how painful it was.
She told me to be brave and pray.
Then, hubby told my mum to take a rest in our room.
Dad and Girl were there as well.
At 9.30pm (there was a wall clock right in front of my bed that is why I kept track of the time), When I couldn't stand anymore, I told the nurse to give me any kind of painkiller to soothe the pain.
The nurse did a VE on me and said I was already 7.5cm dilated.
The nurse started to make calls and I heard her calling Dr. K as well. (well, it's about time I yelled in my heart!)
Dr. K came around 10-nish and I was literally screaming to Dr. K to end my pain.
Dr. K told me to push when a contraction comes.
Where was my hubby?
He was next to me all the time...holding my hands like there's no tomorrow.
Oh wait that was me.
Opssie!
The first contraction came and I gave a push (more like "fart" push...I didn't know how okay).
In between the contractions, sempat lagi Dr. K minta belanja KFC with hubby. (Buli?!!)
After a few pushes, Dr. K said the baby's head was almost out.
He told me to give a BIG push.
So, I gathered all my energy (left, right, front and back), and PUSHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! (I could hear snip snip...scissors doing its job).
With all my might, my baby is finally born.
It was a beautiful moment when Dr. K showed him to me.
Glad all the ordeal was worth it.
Hubby gave me a kiss on my forehead.
I feel loved.
Mum and dad came to see.
I cried when I saw my mum standing next to me.
I held her hands tightly and knew that she went through the same ordeal.
There was a brief silence....an appreciative silence.
Hubby attended Sean in the nursery room and took some pictures.
I was exhausted.They wheeled me to my room after midnight.
Mum and hubby accompanied me in my room.
Kasian mum had to listen to hubby's enchanting snore. Ahaks!
I slept and woke up at 3am.
I was sleeping in the same position and asked mum whether I could turn in different position.
Mum said ok but just be careful.
But I couldn't sleep.
I wanted to see Sean badly.
I waited for hubby to wake up.
At 6am, I dragged hubby to the nursery.
I saw Sean sleeping in his crib.
He was beautiful.
I shed a tear when I first touched him.
I carried him in my arms and smelled him numerous times.
He had a nice smell...baby smell.
I could cuddle him for hours but hubby told me to have a good rest.
Anduii bahhh...It's priceless...simply priceless.

3rd birthdaySean has been asking me so many times when is his birthday will be.
Came 23rd November, hubby and I did a small party for him at home.
We invited close friends and family members.
Hafez, Kim and kids came an hour earlier.
I was still in my apron when they arrived.

:) Memang sakit induced birth 1000x worse than normal delivery kan?? My second anak was induced too and aduhhh..memang sakit gila sebab it was only 2 hours 45 mins punya process..dari masuk ubat until kena beranak..gila eh..but i no kena gunting lah..heheheee
