Ben & Emelda's Engagement Day

Caution: Tersangat banyak gambar.

Earlier on, I typed the wrong spelling for Emelda.
I realize it when I read their backdrop.
Thousand apologies *goyang kepala skit*

Ben is hubby's first cousin.

Ben has been in many relationships but never find the right one.

Until a friend introduced Ben to Emelda.

After numerous phone calls and smses, they decided to meet up.

It was love at first sight.
And the rest is history as the saying goes.

Ben introduced Emelda to us in one of the family gatherings.

Everyone adores her.

When both decided to get engaged a few months after,
everyone was thrilled to know Ben has finally settled down.

I helped him with his blue-themed "hantaran".
Ordered cake from my trusted baker.

On the engagement day (6 December), we dropped by at Ben's house for breakfast.

After breakfast, we started our journey to Tambunan.
Along the way, Sean and Selina asked us numerous questions such as "what's that daddy? (pointing at the kerbau).

Hubby answered "Buffaloes."

Sean replied "Oh buffaloes."

We arrived at Emelda's brother's house after one hour of journey.

We were greeted by her family members.
Oh I forgot to mention that most of us came in blue.

The blue themed "hantarans".

Gold Engagement Rings

Top Left: Perfume for Her
Top Right: Beethoven Bag & Clutch
Bottom Left: Shoes for Her
Bottom Right: Swatch bracelet watch & Gold necklace with cross pendant and dangling earrings

Ben received 3 in 1 packages (A wrist watch, leather belt and wallet)

While waiting for the ceremony to start, the kids were busy.

Little S posing for the camera while Uncle Afdal looks on.

Sean and Selina feeding the rabbits

The ceremony started when both parties have arrived.
I think it's the quickest negotiation ever.
Everything settled in a span of 15 minutes (discussion on "belanja dapur" and agreement signed by witnesses).

The lengthy part was the blessing of engagement (ada lah kena sambar petir ni).
The exchange of rings took place.

Then the cake cutting ceremony.

After that, the photo session.

New addition - Nur Izzah Nadhirah Bonnie

Dyna Emeron
Finally, lunch time (ketara lapar kan sia).

A fusion of traditional food and the usual food
(traditional food - pickled kakatung, nonsom bambangan, ikan masin with taugeh, etc)

After lunch, try dulu bah tu siopon.

They never fail to amuse hubby & I.

Bah tumodo konou kio. Time mau muli sudah.

hi emelda!!

Ya bah same pronunciation but different spelling.

The engagement ndak susah bah. Yang penting semua kena arrange bagus2..ie mau jumpa family prior to the engagement, cari hantaran and bikin hantaran, order cake, arrange the family and relatives to kumpul one place, engagement takes place, mission completion! *wah byk jugakan mau arrange*
