Matta Fair at PWTC

2nd day – We checked into the hotel. It’s the First day of MATTA Fair at PWTC. OMG! You can see sea of people at the fair. That is only one Hall (Hall 3). If you go down to Hall 1 & 2, you will see more. Everyone slashed down their prices like nobody’s business. I won’t be surprise if you cannot decide there and then. Well you have 3 days to consider which places of interest to go. We checked out Sabah Tourism Board booths. Many agents and hotels participated under STB’s umbrella. Some under Tourism Malaysia. Mary and I started our sales call. I cover the right wing and Mary covers the left wing. I went from one booth to the other to promote our newly rebranded hotel, Mount Kinabalu Heritage Resort & Spa. Presentation alone could take up to 45 minutes. Some agents that sell Sabah packages haven’t even set their foot in Sabah. Some thought Sabah is in Indonesia! OMG! Could it be the ignorance of geographical study in school or a mere “duh, I don’t know” attitude I am smelling here. After 50 years of independence, some Malaysians don’t even know or care that Sabah and Sarawak ARE in MALAYSIA! It’s so sad! Anyways, it was a tiring day for me and I ended up sleeping before 10pm.

3rd day – I noticed that there are a few fairs that coincidentally or deliberately held on the same day. There’s RELIANCE TRAVEL FAIR at Pacific Ballroom, Education Fair at another hall in PWTC and Digital World Fair at Ground Floor, PWTC. No wonder many people crowding these places. Anyhow, today, more people frequent Hall 3. We continued our job with our Sales Call. While I was doing my rounds, I came across the Fisho Spa. Very interesting concept. I then carry on with my Sales Call. But carrying this laptop in my bag is a torture though it is useful for me to do a presentation. Anyhow, it has been a tiring day (again!). Tucked in bed early. Supposed to have dinner with Dhillon & wife but I was not well. Still hasn't recovered from cough and flu. And the mighty throbbing of migraine.

4th day - Been trying to reach my hubby since morning. Called his mobile but he didn't answer, then tried to reach him through FIL but they were out as well as Amos. I ended up calling the house phone, which surprisingly, Sean, picked up the phone. Misses them so much. Last day of MATTA Fair. I noticed that the crowd is not as many as the first two days. Probably, tomorrow is a working day and people are saving their energy by staying at home. We took off early today after 2 days of aggressive sales and marketing. We even closed some sales. This will be good for our report. Anyways, I decided to stay in the room while enjoying the internet provided by the hotel. Ah well, we still have to do Sales Call around KL tomorrow. Which means we have to restore our energy as well. See you all tomorrow. Have a good night.
