4 in 1 Celebration

The much anticipated date arrived, 20.08.2008.
We all meet up at the Upperstar for our dinner.
Joyce and I were the firsts to arrive.
The rest arrived soon after.
Valerie and I ordered Grilled Chicken (yummy!) and iced lemonade (nice!).

My dinner

I cannot help but noticing the other tables were also celebrating birthdays.
Some even brought their Camcorder.
Our table nevertheless has endless flashes across the table.
Bah lama bah ndak jumpa.

Let me go into the history of our friendship which all started from our former company, Gayana Island Resort.
Valerie, Uniq, Esther, Mastika, Joyce and I were in the Sales & Marketing Department.
While Grace in the Accounts section.
We went through the ups and downs of our company.
We deciphered any problems we encountered which makes our relationship stronger.
I am so proud of my dear friends, though we parted our ways but we still keep in touch.

Valerie is now working with a government agency.
Esther owns a beauty saloon.
Uniq is a homemaker and currently residing in Miri (her hubby is also our ex-colleague).
Mastika works in an established travel & tour company.
Joyce works at a renowned hotel in 1Borneo.
Grace works in Kundasang.

4 in 1 Celebration includes:
  1. Ladies night out (Reunion)
  2. Joyce turned 24 years old (Birthday)
  3. Esther is getting married soon (Hen Night)
  4. Mastika is leaving KK (Farewell)
It was not easy to gather everyone in one day since everyone has their commitments to compel but with everyone making the efforts, yesterday do became a reality.

Just plain Sharon & Hesitant Blogger (not hesitant anymore ain't it)

Yours truly, Valerie, Mastika, Grace, Esther & Joyce (Unique missed the dinner)

After our dinner at Upperstar, we proceeded to Shenanigans.
Oh my, my last visit to Shaggies..emmmm...I don't remember.
Uniq arrived in style (our diva mummy..lol).
We settled at a table just nice to place the 7 of us.

Smile for the camera ladies!

Valerie, Uniq & yours truly

Joyce & Mastika

Esther & Grace (our ah che)

The birthday girl surprised to see her 24 cupcakes with 24 candles.

We were singing along with the band Live8 but silly deejay didn't bring down the loud music he was playing. So we had to sing our lungs out to overcome the music which we failed.

Live8 sang "Happy Birthday" while Joyce gulped a shot of Tequila. This picture was taken after her feat.

Having a great time

Esther and her fiance, Faizul

Our lovely Uniq

Esther requested "Dancing Queen" and when the band made the intro, we were all screaming like school kids and of course, we did "the dance".
This song also reminds us of our dear Deidre Mojuntin (she was with Gayana from 2001 until end of 2002).
She was our Dancing Queen.
We miss her very much.
May her soul rest in peace.

We danced and laughed and mocked each other.
Bah ini pinggang ndak lembut sudah bah.
Kalau dulu buli lah cucuk bintang bulan kejora segala.
We surely had a blast last night.
It was great being around these beautiful ladies.
You girls ROCK!
Peace you all!
